Ality is sized-up. Our size small is close to a standard size medium, size medium is close to a standard size large, and so on. We have intentionally designed our clothes to fit oversized with room for comfort. Reference the fit guide located at the bottom of each product description page to understand the exact measurements of each garment.

Ality is meant to fit oversized. If you normally shop size extra-small, be aware that our size small may fit extra loose on your body. The same is true for our xl, which fits closer to an xxl. The height and weight of our models is included on each item's fit guide, as well as detailed measurements of garment dimensions. We plan on extended size options in the future.

All upper body garments include torso length, chest circumference, back yoke placement, and sleeve or shoulder length. All joggers include measurements for the relaxed waistband, extended waistband, hip, and inseam. 

Gender free means we create equally for all genders. We decidedly chose to be gender free, rather than gender less or gender neutral. This freedom embraces the idea that you're allowed to express yourself no matter where you land on gender or gender pride. 

If you have a question about your order please send an email to orders@alitydesigns.com. We get items out of our Los Angeles, California warehouse as quickly as possible. Shipment generally takes 5-7 business days to get to you once an order has been confirmed.

If an item doesn’t fit right, feel right, or you notice a manufacturer defect, we absolutely want you to return it for something you love. You have 30 days from date of purchase to contact us to make a return. Please ensure the item remains in the condition in which you received it, no washing or wear before returning it.

We want to make the return process as simple as possible. Please submit a return request here and let us know if you want money back or an exchange. If you have any questions about submitting a return or want to check up on the status of a return request you have already submitted, please email returns@alitydesigns.com. 

Once a return request has been successfully submitted, we will return the money to your bank account as soon as possible. This usually takes 7-14 business days.

All our fabric is sourced domestically from the United States.

The cornerstone fabric of our debut collection, layers, is french terry and 100% pima cotton. Our hoodies, joggers, and t-shirts are all made of these cloud-like materials. Our signature piece, lifebound vest, and our deeplying meaningful piece, my dad's jacket, feature aviator flight satin, the former contrasted by re-waxed canvas. No stone left unturned, our drawstrings and pocket linings are upcycled from our t-shirt scraps to reduce waste.

Right? Our domestic design house out of Los Angeles, California takes great care in preparing our fabric for production. Like the joggers and hoodies, all our t-shirts are made of 100% high-quality pima cotton. The t-shirts get an extra bit of softening from the additional sueding and brushing process. This run around the block gives our t-shirts that lived in feeling. 

For ultimate care, dry clean if possible. Alternatively, machine wash cold inside out, with drawstrings tied in a basic bow knot. This step will help preserve the integrity of the hand-sewn aglets.

While we consider ourselves to be labelless, federal law requires we include a label with our contents, size, and all that jazz. We’ve designed this as a tear away label so you don’t have to worry about that scratchy nagging tag.

California. It's a big state, we know. Long, really. We say California because we identify with that west coast state of being. Our design ideas are out of San Diego and the complete production of our clothing, including hand-cutting fabric, sueding, brushing, and sowing, and packaging goes down in Los Angeles.

Ality believes in a life beyond the stitch and slow fashion made to last. We work with Los Angeles, fairly-paid artisans, who care about their craft. Pattern makers, fabric, dye shops, sewers, packaging - it is all domestic. We source 100% of our fabric from the United States, no imports. It's not just about the clothes. It's how the clothes are made. From what? By whom? For what worth? To what end? All things are considered.

Longevity, hand-me downs, vintage bin shopping, craftsmen getting the time and attention they deserve. We go against the grain of fashion week's colors, the cut of the moment, and fleeting trends. Quality and intention go into every piece, every idea, in order to make our clothes last generations and outlive the fruit-fly lifespan of fast fashion.
